Project Overview
The Zumba Pizza project represented a challenging design endeavor in which each participant was tasked with conceiving a solution for users seeking to place a pizza order with a restaurant. The objective was to provide users with the ability to monitor the progress of their order, from placement to delivery, while maintaining a strong focus on user-centric design principles, ensuring overall intuitiveness and a design for all.

Background
With the growth of Massive Online Open Courses, coding bootcamps, and startup incubator programs. It has become increasingly clear that the democratization of education is empowering individuals to forge their own career trajectories.
Understanding The problem
As an empathetic individual, I recognize the importance of feeling in control, especially when it comes to online orders. Being left in the dark can lead to frustration and a sense of distrust in the service provider. Users may perceive it as a lack of transparency, which can significantly impact their overall satisfaction.
In other to validate these problems with peers so I took the initiative to run group survey on a whatsapp study group where participants openly shared their frustrations and suggested solutions.After reviewing each of these participants replies, we discovered the top frustrations:
Increased Anxiety For Fear Of Being Scammed: The absence of order monitoring could cause anxiety and distrust in the service, leading to a negative user experience and potential loss of customers.
Communication Gap: Without tracking features, users might struggle to communicate effectively with the seller or delivery service about order status, which could sometimes result into misunderstandings or delays
Lack of Visibility: Users wouldn't know the status of their orders, leading to uncertainty and frustration
Designing A Solution
In my design process, I prioritized the user's perspective, ensuring that the solution I created was not based on personal preferences. Given the context of developing a food app.To achieve this objective, i implemented a comprehensive order tracking system within the platform. Users can easily monitor the status of their orders in real-time, from the moment they are placed to the point of delivery. The tracking system is designed with user-centric principles in mind, ensuring that it is intuitive and accessible to all users, regardless of their level of technological proficiency or any accessibility needs they may have. Additionally, i incorporated notifications updates at key milestones throughout the order fulfillment process to keep users informed and engaged every step of the way..

while prioritizing the user's perspective, i ensured that the solution I was creating was not based of personal preferences. Given the context of developing a food app, I selected a color scheme that resonates with the food industry and offers a sense of familiarity. Therefore, the choice of the vibrant orange hue was deliberate, as it is not only visually appealing but also widely recognized and associated with food-related experiences.
Further down my design process, I made inclusivity a central consideration, ensuring that the solution would be usable by a wide range of users, regardless of their language or any disabilities. The initial screen design served as a foundation, but I recognized the need for improvements, which led to refinements in the second design screen. To enhance inclusivity, I introduced a voice-activated feature that enables users to place orders using their voice, thereby accommodating those with diverse abilities and preferences. Additionally, I implemented a language mode switch feature, allowing users to select their preferred language. This feature ensures that users can engage with the application without frustration or confusion, aligning with our commitment to an inclusive user experience.
Visual Designs
User testing was an iterative process that was conducted at every milestone of the project to identify the biggest pain points in the current version. Once feedback was gathered, I would revisit the prototypes and test again. For this project challenge, my goal was to craft a sleek, minimalist UI design that exudes trust, user-friendliness, and intuitiveness.

Result And Takeaways
Working on this design challenge was an eye opening experience that taught me a lot and my commitment to prioritizing order tracking functionality will deliver an exceptional user experiences and build a long-lasting relationships with potential customers.
